HOBBS AND SHAW - SENIOR MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGNER
I was involved in the design and animation of number of head up display elements, holographic elements and screen graphics for this film. The head up display was a key feature of the villain's weaponry, helping him predict danger and avoid it, while the other assets were mostly key to storytelling.

Holographic Table
I was responsible for the design and animation of the 2D elements on this holographic table. Designed in Illustrator and animated in After Effects to blend with the animation of the 3D elements, this was a key storytelling point in the scene.
Head Up Display Reverse
At several points in the film we see a reverse view of Brixton's HUD. This is the one which had the most going on and is part of a huge action scene where he jumps out of an exploding building on his motorbike.
Head Up Display
The in helmet HUD that enhances Brixton's capabilities is seen in a number of scenes. He can use it to draw information about where people are, control external devices as well as guide him. This design was mostly 2D with some 3D elements incorporated as wireframes.
Brixton Vision
When not in his helmet, Brixton has a paired back HUD that alerts him to any danger. I designed and animated a whole suite of these elements that could be populated throughout multiple shots and pick up on specific details.
Brixton Vision
In this shot, Brixton's HUD identifies the threat and tracks it towards him giving him time to react. These graphics were a mix of 2D and 3D elements.
Brixton Vision
One of the last shots with Brixton's HUD is during the final battle. Here the elements have an increasingly prominent glitch that represents the failure of the system.
Helicopter Control Panels
Another job on the film was to replace the control panels in this helicopter rig. The graphics needed to be in line with what you'd expect to see but animate specifically to match the action in shot to further the storytelling.
